Creativity in Nature
Creative Journeys in Natural Settings
Unleash Your Imagination, Connect with Nature
The Somatic Nature Therapy Institute’s Creativity in Nature is a free, unique art therapy experience designed for those who seek to integrate the healing power of nature into their creative journey. We invite you to explore your creative self in the embrace of the natural world.
We’ll use an array of art materials (natural, common, and experimental) in conjunction with sensory awareness, mindfulness, attunement and reflection to connect with nature.
Whether you're looking to reduce stress, process emotions, or simply reconnect with your inner self and the world around you, this nature-based art therapy offers a unique path to wellness and output for your creativity.
Join us and discover the profound impact of creativity in nature. Together, we can heal, grow, and create beauty in the world around us.
To sign up contact Kelsey at kelsey@wildernesstherapyinstitute.com.
Note: No formal art experience is required — just a willingness to express, explore, and engage in a process-oriented approach to making art.

About Your Facilitator
Hello and welcome! Kelsey Middleton is a third year of graduate school in the Transpersonal Art Therapy program at Naropa University. Her belief is that all human beings hold the capacity to heal within themselves, and that there is a tremendous amount of room for healing to occur. The heart of healing is being present and compassionate to what is, while also being supported and witnessed in that presence and compassion.
As a therapist, she holds a holistic therapeutic approach, appreciating how the mind, body, and spirit all contribute to health, well-being, and balance. Kelsey offers a variety of therapeutic interventions including mindfulness, somatic embodiment, nature-connection, art-based, and creative expression. We can meet for sessions inside, outside, or weave between the two.
